Laila J 3/2010

If you like the wind in your face you’re either a die in the wool motorcycle rider or a resident of Chicago, IL. Jerome Beckham is both. His ’08 Harley-Davidson® FLSTN Softail Deluxe absorbed 18 months of time in the ongoing customization to arrive at its current state. MNK Custom Works of Mokena, IL performed all of the fabrication work on Laila J. The assembly duties were also performed by MNK with assistance from Valley Racing, Crete Harley-Davidson and Pete Huisenga. MNK Custom Works laid on the green and topaz color.

A Vance & Hines exhaust system helps the stock motor stay clean. The Twin Cam power plant produces 76 horsepower. Motor mods are probably in process as this is being written. American Cycle plans to revisit this machine in the near future.

Jerome had the H-D gas tank and rear fender stretched six inches, he then had the license plate bracket Frenched into place on the lower quadrant of the rear fender. The bike has been lowered a moderate 1.5” in the rear and two full inches up front.
