This Spike Air Cleaner Kit from Motorcycle Products Consulting (MPC) is a deep breather for improved airflow to the intake tract whether you’re running a carburetor or fuel injection. The reverse-cone shaped intake can be oriented forward, rearward or upwards. However, the best position for deep breathing is achieved when the cone is pointed forward. The large openings in the cone do not restrict breathing as some tilt-forward units do. Everything needed to install this air cleaner on any Harley-Davidson® Big-Twin model from 1990 to 2009 is included in this kit. The excellent chrome plating on each and every piece is sure to delight any custom motorcycle builder.

 

Here is the Spike Air Cleaner Kit from MPC with the necessary hardware for our installation. Note the large unobstructed intake ports which allow better airflow than the stock air cleaner.
